The sound of a rolling suitcase travels between six speakers, placed at the six
ends of a ramp corridor going up through three floors.

When the sound begins in the lowest speaker it is slowed down enough to
become a deep and powerful rumble. As it moves upstairs through the speakers it
speeds up, and on the top floor it has become very fast and high-pitched. It then
travels down again. The travel up and down again takes about one minute, and
loopes endlessly. It travels slowly between speakers on the deep end, but the
higher and faster it gets the faster it moves.

On the walls and ceilings of the ramp photographs of five different suitcases were
placed, taken from a direct frontal angle. The photographs were printed on selfadhesive
vinyl, and the background was cut away. They were mounted directly on
the walls and ceilings.

The height of the photos was the original height of the suitcases, but the length
was stretched to between 1.60 metres and 11 metres, indicating their imagined
stretch at high speed.
